He started his career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, then worked in the investment banking division of Deutsche Bank AG for five years and has been with Binder Grösswang since 2012. He became a partner in 2015. Bernd Schneiderbauer received his PhD in law from the University of Vienna in 2003 (Dr.iur.) and in economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (Dr.rer.soc.oec.), both with distinction.

He is a lecturer at the University of Graz for succession planning and a member of the board of several private foundations of Austrian industrial families and regularly publishes on corporate governance issues and, family businesses and private foundations.
