Philipp Spring

Philipp Spring is a member of the firm's Unfair Competition and Intellectual Property team. He advises in all areas of trademark and copyright law, IT law, e-commerce, contract law, internet and social media law and has extensive experience in licensing and data protection law.

He focuses on

  • Implementation of the DSGVO, in particular review of data processing, development of data protection strategies, declarations of consent
  • IT projects, IT-M&A and due diligence audits
  • Protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights; trademark similarity searches
  • Preparation of IT and IP license agreements

Philipp Spring began his career in 1998 as an associate with Eiselsberg Natlacen Walderdorf Cancola and gained further experience, as an attorney, with Lattenmayer, Luks & Enzinger, Baker & McKenzie and Kunz Schima Wallentin before joining Binder Grösswang in 2017. He received his doctoral degree from the University of Vienna in 2003 (Dr. iur.)  and his Masters of Law from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998.

Philipp Spring publishes on a regular basis on unfair competition and IP / IT issues and is a lecturer at the Danube University Krems.

  • Support of a technology start-up with regard to a cooperation with a Chinese car manufacturer
  • Extrajudicial and judicial trademark enforcement for an American motorcycle manufacturer
