Another Win for a Binder Grösswang Team at Elsa M&A Moot Court
For the fifth time in succession, a team supervised by Binder Grösswang Partner Markus Uitz and Attorney-at-Law Moritz Salzgeber won the “ELSA Seal the Deal M&A Contract Competition”.
The winning team, comprised of law students Alexandra Koller, Narges Mussawi and Nikita Bojovic, emerged victorious from the hard-fought finals at the Juridicum building of the University of Vienna Faculty of Law. In addition, team member Narges Mussawi won the Best Speaker Award.
As in the last four competitions, the team was supervised by Partner Markus Uitz and Attorney-at-Law Moritz Salzgeber of Binder Grösswang.
“We are proud to have once again supported the winning team and we congratulate the team members heartily on their well-earned victory! It is a great pleasure to guide students in this challenging experience and thereby promote young, ambitious legal talents,” says Markus Uitz.
The M&A Contract Competitions involve simulated M&A transactions in which law students, acting as representatives of fictive parties, draw up and negotiate an agreement on the sale and transfer of shares (SPA) on the basis of a common set of facts and a term sheet negotiated by one of the fictive clients. The Binder Grösswang team prevailed over the competition supervised by other major law firms above all due to its negotiation strategy, as well as its well-founded legal knowledge.
