Christian Wimpissinger is a partner in the firm's Tax Team. He has more than 20 years of experience in advising on cross-border acquisitions and restructurings as well as on international tax law and accounting law (including IFRS).

He focuses on

Christian is recognised as a "leading individual" in the field of Tax in Austria by Legal 500 (2024) and is listed in the field of Tax in Band 1 by Chambers Europe 2024. JUVE (Edition Austria 2022) ranks him among the six leading names for Tax law in Austria.

He began his career with Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York and has been with Binder Grösswang since 2007. Christian received his PhD from the University of Vienna (Dr. iur.) in 2006 and obtained his postgraduate degree from the New York University in 2001 (LL.M.). He is a licensed attorney in Austria and New York, as well as in England and Wales.

Christian is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Miami's Graduate Tax Program (since 2010) and lecturer at the Danube University Krems (since 2015).

He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), the American Bar Association (ABA) and the International Fiscal Association.
