Johannes Barbist is a partner in the firm’s Regulatory Team. He has more than 25 years of experience in advising companies on the regulatory framework and a legally compliant management. Furthermore, Johannes Barbist represents the interests of his clients before supervisory authorities and courts.

He started his career as a stagiaire with the European Commission in Brussels and has been with Binder Grösswang since 1998 where he became a partner in 2005. Johannes obtained a postgraduate degree (MA) from the University of Limerick / Ireland in 1997 and a doctorate degree (Dr. iur.) from the University of Innsbruck in 2000.

Johannes has been a lecturer at the Law Faculty of the University of Innsbruck since 2012 and is a regular speaker at conferences. Johannes regularly publishes on current topics in legal journals and books.
