Binder Grösswang Advises MANN + HUMMEL on Acquisition of Part of Carinthian Jack Filter Group
In cooperation with Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, BINDER GRÖSSWANG advised the German corporation MANN + HUMMEL, a global market leader in the field of filtration, on the acquisition of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning business unit of the Carinthia-based, family-owned Jack Filter group.
Under the transaction, MANN + HUMMEL acquired the three companies Jack Filter Lufttechnik GmbH, JACK FILTER HUNGARIA Kft. and “J.F.I. Service” Kft.
The signing and closing of the transaction took place in July 2017 in Carinthia.
MANN + HUMMEL is one of the world’s leading filtration specialists and focusses on the business areas Automotive Solutions, Industrial Solutions, Intelligent Air Solutions and Water Solutions. The group has more than 80 locations worldwide and more than 20,000 employees. Its product portfolio includes air filter systems, intake systems, liquid filter systems, technical plastic components, filter media, interior environment filters, industrial filters and membrane filters. The acquisition of Jack Filter’s business unit for heating, ventilation and air conditioning will further expand MANN + HUMMEL’s market position.
The Jack Filter group is one of the leading producers of air filters for industrial dedusting, ventilation and air conditioning, and cleanroom technology. More than 50% of its products are exported for applications worldwide.
