Christoph Raab

Christoph Raab is a counsel in the firm’s Competition Law Team and advises national and international clients in all matter relating to Austrian and EU competition law.
He focuses on

- private enforcement - proceedings before civil courts
- compliance and internal investigations / eDiscovery audits
Christoph has been with Binder Grösswang since 2022. In December 2021, he passed the Austrian bar exam. Previously, he gathered experience with Gibson Dunn & Crutcher in Brussels, with Wolf Theiss Attorneys at Law and as a judicial clerk at the Higher Regional Court of Vienna. Christoph studied law at the University of Vienna (Mag. iur., 2016) and obtained a postgraduate degree from King’s College London (LL.M., 2018).
Christoph publishes on current legal issues in national and international law journals, in particular in the field of competition law
- Advising clients in EU as well as national merger control proceedings; particular experience in the Batteries, Food & Beverages, Oil & Gas, Financial Services and Building Materials sectors
- Advising clients in leniency proceedings and investigations into competition law infringements
- Advising clients in internal investigations and competition law audits
- Advising clients in damages litigation with particular experience in the truck sector
- Advising clients on compliance matters such as distribution systems and rebates
- Advising in private enforcement proceedings related to alleged competition law infringements, for example abuse of a dominant position
