Christoph Schober is a partner in the firm’s Corporate / M&A Team. He advises on corporate and commercial matters, with a focus on complex M&A transactions. He has several years of experience advising both target companies and investors in national and international transactions. His particular expertise includes advising on M&A-auctions and M&A-bidding processes in various industries (including the automotive technology, medical technology, plastics, software, media and packaging industries). 

He focuses on

  • cross-border M&A transactions
  • venture capital and start-up financing
  • founding and structuring
  • joint ventures and strategic alliances

He studied law at the University of Vienna and the London School of Economics (Mag. iur). In spring of 2018, Christoph Schober passed the Austrian bar exam and subsequently completed a Master of Law and Business (MLB) at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany, where he graduated with honours in 2019. From 2019 to 2020, he worked at Hogan Lovells International LLP in Hamburg.

Christoph is a member of the Bucerius Alumni Association.

  • Advising Cryoshelter GmbH on the entry of Hexagon as investor into its liquefied natural gas and liquefied hydrogen entities
  • Advice to Schmid Industrie Holding regarding the sale of Wolf Plastics Group to ALPLA
  • Advising OLMeRO AG (a Byggfakta Group Subsidiary) on the acquisition of all shares in INFO-TECHNO Baudatenbank GmbH from WEKA Holding GmbH (a Paragon Partners Subsidiary)
  • Advising Linde Verlag on the establishment of a Joint Venture with Venionaire Capital 
  • Advising Lenzing AG on different corporate reorganizations of its group
  • Advising Greenbriar Equity Group on the acquisition of Frauscher Sensor Technology Group
  • Advising Lenzing AG in many national and international co-operation and acquisition projects, last upon its formation of a Joint Venture with Duratex S.A to build a Dissolving Wood Pulp Plant in Brazil
  • Counsel to the international PE Investor Insight on the access in Tricentis
  • Advising the Talanx Asset Management GmbH on the sale of a share stake of C-QUADRAT to Cubic Limited
  • Advising part of the sellers of the Salzburg construction company Hinteregger on the sale of all shares to Porr AG
  • Advising the Tamedia Group on the acquisition of shares in the Heute newspaper
  • Advising BNP Paribas on the sale of Hello bank! Austria to Bawag Group
  • Advising Xerox Corporation on the sale of an Austrian transaction-printing-center to an Austrian acquirer
